Who is Team Sun Bru?

We are a national BMX racing team based out of Dallas, TX. Owned and operated by Sun Bru Tanning products a leader in the Indoor tanning industry. 

Team Goals:

To win races while being respectful of our fellow competitors.

To experience the excitement of a highly energetic group of people, who are also some of the top BMX athletes in the world.   

What does it take to be on the team? 

You first must be a respectful individual both on and off your bike. Then you must have exceptional riding skills or at least have the desire to learn them through practice and training. 

Do I have to live in Texas to ride for Sun Bru? 

No. Sun Bru is currently accepting applications from all across the country.   

Can I start my own Sun Bru support team? 

Yes , Upon approval by Sun Bru LLC.  We can assist you in having your own Sun Bru support  team with your choice of your own team colors. Speak to a Sun Bru rep for more information on this.

How many types of teams does Sun Bru have?  

We actually have three. Trophy, Bike shop, and our Elite National Factory Team.   

How does Sun Bru choose the team to place a rider on?

Each rider must submit a resume and based on a rider's performance and class proficiency he or she will then be placed on the proper team  

Do I have to use sponsor products to be on the team?

It depends on what the product agreement is  with sponsor, although all sponsor products are usually well discounted for team riders.

Can a rider be cut from the team?

Yes, but usually this is due to rule infractions. ( See Team rules )

Are there any fees for joining the team?  

Generally just the cost of team uniform but this varies based on team Status. Each team member is responsible for all track fees or cost of outings, unless otherwise stated in writing by team manager.

Does the team pay for any races, bikes, uniforms, etc? 

This is set up on a case by case basis and generally a privilege for Bike Shop and  Factory level riders. Although we do have a rider rewards incentive program available to all members. 

Can a rider advance up to Bike Shop or Factory team?

Yes! We have a score tablet that lets all riders know how they are doing as an individual rider. Once a rider has achieved certain goals he or she can then move up in team status .
